The municipality of Maria Aurora province of Aurora will conduct training of trainors
on Child Centered-Community Based Climate Change Adaptation and Disaster Risk
reduction on October 1-3, 2013 at municipal session hall, Sangguniang Bayan Maria Aurora,
Aurora.
As one of the partner national government agency and signatory to Save the
Children CC-CBA memorandum of agreement, we have the honor to request to provide us
resource speakers to discuss and educate us on Understanding Science of Climate Change
( definition of weather and climate; climate system and essential variables, atmospheric
science and others). Attached herewith is the copy of program and activities.

CHILD CENTERED- COMMUNITY BASED CLIMATE CHANGE ADAPTATION IN THE PHILIPPINES
Objetives:
At the end of the training, the following objectives must be met:
Participants understand the key concepts and term on climate change particularly its cause effect and impacts;
Participants will be knowledgeable on the legal basis mandating the government to support the mainstreaming of climate change adaptation (CCA)
Participants learn the use and application of participatory capacity and vulnerability assessment (PCVA) tools including applicable participatory rapid assessment (PRA)
tools;
Participants will be able to formulate plan of action defining target, schedules and logistics requirements in conducting PCVA;
Participants will be able to actualize the conduct of PCVA through practicum
