The Nicene-
The Apostle’s Creed
Constantinopolitan Creed (Used in Masses during Lent and Easter Season)
(Used in Masses outside Lent and Easter Season)
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, I believe in God,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all things, visible and invisible. the Father Almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth,
I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ,
the Only begotten Son of God, And in Jesus Christ,
born of the Father before all ages. His only Son, our Lord,
God from God, Light from Light, (bow on the following 2 lines)
true God from true God, Who was conceived
begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father,
through Him all things were made. by the Holy Spirit,
For us men and for our salvation
born of the Virgin Mary,
He came down from heaven, suffered under Pontius Pilate,
(bow on the following 2 lines) was crucified, died,
and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary
and became Man.
and was buried;
He descended into hell;
For our sake He was crucified under Pontius Pilate,
He suffered death and was buried, On the third day
and rose again on the third day He rose again from the dead;
in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven,
