We have to be with all those that exist in our world. Our understanding must come in
communion with other finite beings

It’s never just about us and the self. It has to be linked to the world

The table has context in the sense of a dining table or in the classroom

The meaning of life happens in the challenge of existing with other finite beings

The focus will always be about the phenomena but we understand it in the metaphysical sense

Like in the sense of immersion. 3 weeks to a month later wala na yung “high” of this experience
Have we truly done something in the spirit of immersion?

The point of life is the evade betrayal.

To be true to ourselves and others in what we must strive for as this is the “good life”
Self actualized being (Heidegger)
It’s a call to be loyal; faithfulness (Marcel)

Hindi siya kanan o kaliwa na puwede mo iibahin. Ang katapatan ay ang pagkakilala sa avoir

- Lahat tayo ay may bata sa kalooban natin na kailangan natin disciplinahin

To be true to the self, we have to know our avoir but no let it rule our decisions.
Hindi artificial na isasama o hindi, it’s going against betrayal.

It’s not accepting the darkness, it’s knowing and naming it. In a way we understand it.

Avoir is this darkness

It’s a child that we can control and take care of but if we don’t it can go overboard and control
our actions.

Like alcoholism, this is the avoir. If we let it rule our decisions then it is not right. Etre is knowing
this alcoholism and accepting it but choosing the decision that we ourselves want.

Pag-Asa = it is not having hope, Hindi pagmamatigas dahil baka istowisismo lang ito.

Pagibig= Ang pasasabinh mahal kita “Ikaw man lamang ay hindi magmamaliw (mamamatay)

Parang grad pic with their 2 dead parents. Even in death, they are still our parents because we
choose to love them still

Parang in love, I can give you the sun moon and stars. Impossible by why can’t we go over this
fact.

This is then the experience of God

God is found within the search in darkness of love even if he as God(Being) cannot die

Scott Peck relates to this idea of love rin

Love here is not the romantic love.

We are a lot, we are a brother, a son a friend but they are not different versions of ourselves.
They add up to who we are. Our own plurality.

This is betraying ourselves because we feel that there is a God. This is not Pag-asa
Parang naniniwala tayo na literal na si God na ang bahala which is wrong.

Parang sa hospital, no matter how much we are treated, we still accept that there is a God that
holds everything which is true pagasa.
