If you ever need me (KC), and I’ll be sure to respond!!! :)
Remember, to ALWAYS plan your work, THEN work your plan!!!
NEVER go to your piano keyboard and begin to practice without a “goal and plan” in mind you
will quickly get bored, frustrated and you will quickly revert to your old ways as a musician.
MASTER everything you learn from this series in
ALL 12 KEYS (
in the Circle of 4ths)
.
Basically, practice and skillfully execute each TransFormula in C, then F, then Bb, then Eb,
then Ab, then Db, then Gb, then B, then E, then A, then D, then G.
PREPLAN!
#1 Familiarize yourself with the major scales (using scale degrees) in ALL 12 KEYS!!!
For example in the key of C 1
: C is 2
, D is 3
, E is 4
, F is , G is 5 6
, A is 7
, B is , and C is
1 (or 8)
.
I recommend you learn each major scale in ALL 12 KEYS (in the Circle of 4ths)
.
#2 Familiarize yourself with the basic major and minor chords in
ALL 12 KEYS!!!
#3 This isn’t necessary, but it would be very beneficial if you were already familiar with the
251 progression in
ALL 12 KEYS!!! This is covered in the Play Like You Series 2 with a
VERY SIMPLE system to follow in ALL 12 KEYS!!! You can also find videos from others on
Youtube concerning the subject of chord progressions.
