ABOUT THE FOUNDATION
The Xoliswa Bebula Foundation (XBF) is a non-profit trust and a Public Benefit Organisation (PBO) established in
2016 with a clear vision of spreading the word of God in rebuilding the very backbone of African nation, which is
her spirituality and great cultural heritage.

Our mission is to build faith guided, self sufficient and prosperous communities that have strong relationships
with God by:
• Contributing towards community development.
• Implementing anti-poverty initiatives.
• Developing and managing educational programmes for the youth.
• Implementing skills development programmes for women and the youth.
• Creating and managing enterprise development for women and the youth.

In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help
the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said “It
is more blessed to give than to receive”.
Acts 20:35

OUR APPROACH
Our purpose of creating and supporting community based programmes that improve the education, health and
welfare of all women and youth in rural South Africa is driven by 3 pillars:

Influencing Empowering Enabling

Preparing our mindsets for the Sharing the tools we need to Walking hand-in-hand as we
world we want. pursue our possibilities. deliver on our individual and
collective calling.

All “For God’s Glory”.

1 Influencing
Mindsets and conditioning can either unleash or stifle potential. Most social ills the world has to contend with
today have to do with how individuals and communities think, i.e. how they see and define themselves, how they
perceive the world around them and beliefs they hold. Our view is we stand a better chance of changing
communities for better if we can influence the way communities think.

Our initiatives comprise interventions that facilitate sharing of the word of God, life lessons and different
perspectives. The objective is to enable individuals and communities to unlearn things that perpetuate the status
quo and to learn new things that pave the way for new possibilities.

4
2 Empowering
For people to self respect and fulfil their
potential, they need to be empowered. When
empowered, people make better choices,
solve problems, create and pursue their own
possibilities. Among key foundational pillars
of empowerment are self discovery,
education, knowledge and insights. Our
initiatives create platforms for these
essentials to occur.

3 Enabling
In some instances, it is not enough to
influence a mindset shift and/or to empower.
We know when we are called to enable an
individual or community to fulfil a particular
aspiration.

OUR COMPASS
Vision
Spreading the word of God in rebuilding the very backbone
of African nation, which is her spirituality and great cultural
heritage.

Mission
Building faith guided, self sufficient and prosperous communities that have strong
relationships with God by influencing mindsets, empowering and enabling communities.

Values
Faith - We are guided by the word, not our own understanding.
Passion - We can only excel if we are passionate.
Sharing - Collective societal growth happens when people share.
Integrity - We own our promises and outcomes.

OUR TOUCHSTONE
The Foundation’s activities are set to contribute towards education, social upliftment, economic advancement and holistic
development of women and youth in South Africa.

Our goal is to empower the poorest communities by giving them tools that will transform their lives, lift them out of poverty
and create sustainable jobs. We believe by focusing on women and youth in these impoverished communities through
initiatives such as creating enterprise development programmes, we will see these communities benefiting for a lifetime.

The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.

Psalm 118:22

GUIDING PRINCIPLES
Keeping Purpose at the Core
Our work and contributions are all for God’s glory.

Impact & Sustainability

Work without results is futile. So are results that are not sustainable into the future. Our approach is to empower
communities in such a manner that they can sustain the work and the results beyond the time of our intervention.
Measurement
For us to continually serve better in pursuit of our mission, we need to track how well we are doing so we can change
where we need to. As such, we set target for our works and reflect, on an ongoing basis, on how we are performing.

Our measure is:

• To see rural women and youth discipled into a relationship with God and assimilated into a faith community;
• To see each and every child in these communities getting an opportunity in education;
• To see rural women and youth acquiring entrepreneurial skills

Follow me and I will make you fishers of men.

Matthew 4:19
