DOUBLE E-LOC &
DOUBLE E-LOC TRANSITION COUPLINGS
APPLICATIONS
DOUBLE E-LOC • The Double E-Loc is a locking compression coupling used to join smooth, ribbed,
COUPLINGS corrugated or Figure 8 High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) conduit. The locking,
pressure-tight design makes the Double E-Loc an ideal coupling for pneumatic cable
placing applications when air and watertight integrity of the system is imperative.
Unmatched pressure ratings, pull-out resistance, no metal parts, and no special tools
make the Double E-Loc the preferred coupling. Lock rings specially designed to grip rigid
PVC and steel pipe are also available.
• Double E-Loc Transition Couplings have the same great features as the Double E-Loc
Couplings, but provide the ability to connect conduit of different sizes. Lock rings
designed to grip PVC and steel allow for a single coupling to transition to both a
dissimilar size and dissimilar material.

E-LOC & E-LOC
TRANSITION COUPLINGS
APPLICATIONS
• The E-Loc Coupling is a compression coupling that provides a watertight/airtight connection
E-LOC
COUPLINGS in buried, or restrained applications. The ability to join dissimilar materials, such as
PVC, HDPE, fiberglass, or metal, makes the E-Loc a versatile coupling for the telephone,
electrical, and cable industries. Patented.
• E-Loc Couplings are available to fit conduit sizes from 3/4" through 4". Easy to install
without the need for additional tools or equipment. Watertight to 200 psi restrained on
smooth wall conduit. Also seals on ribbed and corrugated duct. Custom lengths and
non-standard IPS diameters are available. Allows for transitions between different
materials with one coupling.
• E-Loc Transition Couplings have all the great features of an E-Loc Coupling while providing
a transition from one size conduit to another. This includes the ability to transition to
dissimilar materials such as PVC, HDPE, fiberglass, and metal. Allows for transitions
E-LOC between different sizes and materials with one coupling.

CABLES APPLICATIONS
• Refer to pages 2-3 of this catalog
CONSTRUCTION
• Manufactured by continuously extruding HDPE loosely around the cable assembly with no
adhesion between the conduit and the cable, thus leaving the cables free in the conduit.
• Lubrication is applied to the cable, allowing for cables to be pulled out and replaced
if necessary.
• All cables are installed as single conductors or paralleled in HDPE conduit and are
available in Standard Wall, Schedule 40, Schedule 80, SDR 13.5, SDR 11, and SDR 17.

ALUMINUM
SECONDARY

BENEFITS OF CABLE-IN-CONDUIT
1. Protects cable: 5. Allows for various installation methods which may
• During shipment reduce installation and restoration costs.
• During installation 6. Can reduce replacement and upgrade costs.
• During operation
7. HDPE conduit is flexible as opposed to rigid PVC pipe.
2. Reduces labor costs by:
8. Available in various colors or stripes.
• Eliminating separate handling of both pipe
and wire 9. Available in continuous lengths. See reel cart in
• Eliminating assembly of 20' conduit sections back of this catalog.
• Eliminating pulling of wire into duct Ask us if you don't see a cable you need in this catalog.
3. Can eliminate need for special pulling equipment. Practically any cable Southwire manufactures can be
provided as a cable-in-conduit solution.
