she was an American documentary photographer and photojournalist best known


for her depression era work for the farm security administration she was born May
26 , 1895 from Hoboken , new jersey her mom is joan lange nutzhorn an her dad is
henry martin nutzhorn .her quote ‘’life for people begins to crumble on the edeges;
they don’t realiz it.’’ Dorothea Lange's images of Depression-era America
made her one of the most acclaimed documentary photographers of the
20 century. She is remembered above all for revealing the plight of

sharecroppers, displaced farmers and migrant workers in the 1930s,


and her portrait of Florence Owens Thompson, Migrant Mother,
Nipomo, Californi a1936, has become an icon of the period. After the
Depression she went on to enjoy an illustrious career in photo-
journalism during its hey-day, working for leading magazines such
as Fortune and Life, and traveling widely throughout Asia, Latin
America, and Egypt dorothea grew up in a middle-class family in new
jearsy . her father worked as a lawyer, but also held several respected
positions in local bussnessis , politic the church, while her mother
