1.a .The focus of a conic is 50 mm from the directrix. Draw the locus of a point P moving in such a way that its
distance from the directrix is equal to its distance from the focus. Name the curve. Draw a tangent to the curve at
a point 60 mm from the directrix.
Or
b. A circular wheel of 50 mm diameter rolls without slipping along a straight line. Draw the curve traced by a
point P on its rim for one revolution of the wheel. Draw tangent and normal at any point M on the curve.

2.a . An inelastic string of 150 mm length has one of its ends is attached to the circumference of a circular disc of
40 mm diameter. Draw the curve traced out by other end of string when it is completely unwound around the
disc keeping the string always tight. Also draw the tangent and normal to the obtained curve at a point 100 mm
away from the centre of the disc.

Or

b. Draw the conic curve , if the distance of focus from the directrix is 70 mm and the eccentricity is ¾. Also draw
a tangent and normal at any point on the curve.

3. Sketch by free hand, the front view, top view and side view for the given pictorial drawing.

4.a. A line PQ 70 mm long has its end P 10 mm above HP and 15 mm infront of VP. Its top view and front view
measures 60 mm and 40 mm respectively. Draw the projections of the line and determine its true inclinations
with the VP and HP.

Or

b. A line PF , 65 mm has its end P, 15 mm above the HP and 15 mm infront of the VP. It is inclined at 55 o to the
HP and 35o to the VP.Draw its projections.
