Activity
4.2 Activity Allow the students to formulate words that they can associate to the word literature.
They were asked to read ahead what literature is so there will be a smooth exchange of ideas.
4.3 Analysis Compare the students’ responses. Ask them their reasons for coming up with an idea.
4.4 Abstraction The teacher will expound the students’ responses by taking down the following:
1. Reasons for reading
2. Defining literature
3. Different views on literature
4. Key features of literature
4.5 Application Open the discussion about the different forms and genres of literature and how these embody
on what has been defined as literature.
Trace the history of Philippine literature.
4.6 Assessment Allow the students to think of sample literature for the different periods.
4.7 Assignment The students will perform a sample literature of the different periods.
