Campus Recruitment Policies and Processes

CRC shall aim to provide placement assistance to all graduating students. Placement is a privilege
extended to the students not a right

1. Campus Recruitment Policy

The recruitment policy outlined is intended to provide every student an equal opportunity at
getting the best job offer.

1.1 Background:

Companies visiting the campus are divided in the following two categories:
a) Category-A: Companies offering CTC >Rs.3 LPA,
b) Category-B: Companies offering CTC < Rs.3 LPA.
(CTC includes benefits like conveyance allowance, mobile allowance, accommodation, etc.)

1.2 Policy:

1. Any student placed in Category-B, will be allowed one additional opportunity at a higher
salary level (i.e.) Category- A
2. It is mandatory to have offer in Category-BCompany to become eligible for appearing in
Category-A company.
3. Oncea student secures a Job in Category-A, the career placement cycle is complete for
the individual. No additional opportunities will be made available.
4. When receiving 2 or more offers from firms that have parallel recruitment process (i.e.) [2
or more companies on a single day for campus recruitment], the student will make a
decision on accepting 1 of them. This decision is final and binding on the student to
maintain professional ethics.
5. Working on a full-time basis during the final semester of the program may be allowed
only under exceptional cases and requires the approval of the Dean or higher authority.
6. The Dean (School of Management)or his/her designee on his/her sole discretion can
allow exceptions to the policy requirements.
7. A student will be allowed to appear in maximum 10 selection interviews, on-campus or
off-campus that are scheduled by the CRC Office.
8. A student can have maximum two offers, one from Category-A and one from Category-
B.
9. Pre Placement Offer (PPO) is equivalent to a job offer and hence the same policy shall
be applicable.

2. Campus Recruitment Process

1. Registration on or before 7th September 2018 with the Corporate Resource Centre is a
requirement for all students. No unregistered student will be approved for a campus
interview and it will be assumed that he/she is not interested for placement assistance
from the CRC of the university
2. It is mandatory for a student to appear in the Pre Placement Talk and recruitment
process of the company for which he/she is registered.Based on the number of
registered students, CRC department will take decision on calling company on-campus
or off-campus for interviewing students.
3. Students must carry a proof of identity with them at all times during the campus
recruitment process.
4. Students must carry 2 copies of the approved resume along with 2 passport size photo,
during campus recruitment. No request of print out of resume will be entertained by the
CRC office.
5. Students will not be allowed to carry their mobile phones or laptops into the
interview/group discussion room.
6. Corporate Resource Centre will handle all communication with industry representatives.
Students are not allowed to contact company representatives directly.
7. For all matters relating to campus recruitment, students should directly contact
Corporate Resource Centre
2.1 Expulsion from Campus Recruitment

The following scenarios are illustrations of cases that may require the expulsion of the student
from the recruitment process
1. Students found adopting unfair means/violatingcampus recruitment policy.
2. Student withdrawing after being shortlisted by a company at any stage.
3. Failing to appear in the registered company for two times.
4. Students misrepresenting information on their resume.
5. Students acting unprofessionally with any member of the corporate representatives,
staff, faculty, administrators, peers, or career advancement services.
6. Students who are not appropriately dressed during a company’s selection procedure that
he/she is participating in.
7. Non completion of Summer Training/other academic requirements.
8. If a student has less than 75% attendance in the Training sessions.*
9. If a student fails to appear in Pre Placement Talk (PPT) of the company for which he/she
is registered.
10. If a student fails to appear for 3 consecutive placement opportunities (despite submitting
the duly filled registration form), his/her Placement Assistance form will be treated null
and void.

opportunities of my major/minor stream, and the modified rules, if any and the ones stipulated by the
CRC for placement from time to time during Placements-2018-19
I shall also honor the efforts of the University by joining the organization that has offered me a job of my
choice through the placement program.

Note: Placement Assistance form will NOT be accepted unless you produce 10th, 12th and every
semester Marksheet.
