HISTORY OF THE SCHOOL

Catholic Ming Yuan College of the Monks of the Congregation of St.

John the Baptist is located in Murcia, Negros Occidental, Philippines.
Father Vincent Lebbe, a Vincentian missionary from Belgium and the
Founder of the CSJB went to china in 1901. He worked with great zeal and
joy in rural Hebei, Angou Diocese lifting the condition of simple people into
a dignified life. His vision was to put up an educational institution to be
managed by the members of the Congregation.
The vision of Fr. Lebbe became a reality with the help of the late Mr.
Alex Montelibano and his family. They donated a big piece of land in
Binitin, Murcia where CMYC is situated now. The school was established
last June 2013 which offered the pre-elementary, high school and college
programs.
Better opportunities await our students by the virtues of hard work
and dedication. This will give our students opportunity to be “globally
competitive and exposed to the varied cultures of the world”. Thus
becoming cooperators in making the world a better place where peace and
harmony reign – the Kingdom of God.
