CHAPTER 1

INTRODUCTION
This chapter includes the historical background, personal information, business experience and
the issue encountered by the subject matter.

A. HISTORICAL BACKGROUND
During the year of 2013, wherein Mr. Cherry Abello is already an architect and the industry
of construction became a trend at the municipality of Roxas. That is an enough reason why he
build the C.A Abello Enterprise. Mr. Abello committed that it wasn’t a good start in reason that
there is also lot of enterprise that are arising and selling and offering of the same goods and services
trading by the C.A Abello Enterprise. In such condition, the determination and courage of Mr.
Abello became more aggressive and his business talent was born, he also became a competitor to
his competitors. He became the owner of his own enterprise. During the operation of the enterprise
wherein Mr. Abello is also a worker their profit became looked good and still raising.

After Mr. Abello finished his architectural course and he admit that it wasn’t easy to find a job. He
realized that why don’t he build a business that is fit to his profession, he thought an enterprise
that is trading a different construction materials, but he don’t have enough source of capital to
build it. He decided to apply in John Paul College as a college instructor.
Because of the determination that Mr. Abello has owned. After a few years of becoming
an instructor in John Paul College. He has now an enough money to build his dream enterprise. It
is really a dream come true and according to Mr. Abello it really make a hit for his name as an
architect. During the year of 2013 where Mr. Abello build his enterprise and named it as C.A.
Abello Enterprise, it comes from the name of Mr. Abello and his wife Cherry and Airene Abello.
Mr. Abello is also owning a talyer that is built since 2014.
During the first operation of the C.A Abello Enterprise they are just offering some
materials such as a pieces of pipes, knots fly woods, and some metals. But because of the highing
sales of the enterprise they are now owning a three (3) truck and they are now selling the different
kinds of pipes, different metals and the gravels and sands and hollow blocks.

Just like every business, there were problems and struggles faced and facing by the C.A.
Abello Enterprise. Some of it are some of their clients are not paying at the right time or not paying
at all. Also some of their materials are delayed to deliver that causes a shortage in the enterprise.

Through his business partner, his wife, Mrs. Airene Abello who is currently working as a
teacher in Dangay National High School, they are partners in raising their enterprise and partners
in reaching their enterprise goals.
C. PERSONAL INFORMATION

Cherry Abello, also known as “Sir Architect”, born on July 21, 1975 at Kalibo Aklan.
During those days Mr. Abello lived in a very simple family with a very simple life, his parents,
Salvacion Abello and Benjeraldo Abello are both a fish vendors.

He started his elementary days in Dangay Elementary Schoolin the academic years of
1983-1989. And his high school in Caloocan High School during the year of 1989-1993. And he
finished his college with Bachelor of Science in Architecture course.

Mr. Cherry Abello is a licenced architect. He is also the owner of C.A Abello Enterprise
and a college instructor in John Paul College since 2008. He also owned a talyer. He is also a
father of his 3 kids and a husband to his wife Airene Abello
B. BUSINESS EXPERIENCE

Since Mr. Abello is just a seven (7) years old kid, he is already selling fish in their market
and at their streets. Though he admit that he don’t know what businessman is and being a
businessman is not his dream. Mr. Abello’s parents are both a fish vendors.

After he graduated in college taking BS architecture, he applied at different company and

work. After that, during the year of 2008 he applied in John Paul College as a College Instructor.
Aside from being an instructor he I also an architect at the same time. During the year of 2010,
one of the client of Mr. Abello asked him if why he don’t build an enterprise that is trading a
different construction material. That’s why Mr. Abello have an idea that why don’t he build it
since he was an architect.

And one moment, while Mr. Abello is on his way, he was imagining his self-owning a
business. And since his family is growing, he decided to save money and build that enterprise.
After of few years of working as a instructor and saving, he has now his enterprise. But it wasn’t
so easy to raise it, because of the deferent enterprise that are arising also and offering a lot of
materials compared to those materials that are trading by their enterprise.

During the operation of their enterprise, Mr. Abello’s hope seems slowly gone, in reason
that their sales isn’t good because o lot of costumers are not interest on what he is selling. Since
Mr. Abello is entered in the world of the business he decided to pursue, he and his wife invest on
their enterprise and buy a materials to sell. Because of that their enterprise revenue slowly goes
high.

When Mr. Abello noticed that what he earned in his enterprise isn’t enough to sustain his
family needs, he think again of what materials he can offer, the he thought an talyer and he offer a
gravel and sand. Since he is already offering the gravels and sands he decided to purchase a truck.
And after a year his only one truck now the C.A. Abello has owned a three truck. And because of
that the revenue that their enterprise earned became higher, higher than they expect.

At the present time, Mr. Abello is the one who designed the ongoing construction of the
senior high school building in John Paul College. Since they already have a gravel and sand and a
trucks, Mr. Abello is not just the architect of the said project. But their enterprise serve also as the
suppliers of the materials that are needed in construction. Mr. Abello admit that he didn’t imagine
that he had spending this abundant life now. From a simple fish vendor then became an architect
turn into businessman and a good at the same time.
