Observation Task 4-B: English Language Lessons
Observe an English language lesson. If possible try to obtain term/topic plans and a lesson plan. Make notes about what the teacher does and photograph (with permission)
and note what the children do in each of the stages of the lesson. Create a table which clearly illustrates this.
Structure of lesson What the teacher does
Start of lesson When the students come to the
class the teacher will say go and

into four groups the two groups

through activities. groups will play inside the class.

The teacher will speak with
the students and they will
say to them what will do for
this day and what we will
learn today.
Teacher will keep asking the
two groups of students some
question about the lesson to
see if they understand
anything or not.
What the children do
The students will listen to the
teacher and they will repeat the
Qurran and Duaa with the
teacher.
The students will work they
should finish their work also
they will answer the question
that the teacher ask them.
Comments
I don’t like when the
MST say go and play she
can say go and write in
the small board what we
toke yesterday it’s like
quick revision but it is
nice start with Quraan
and Duaa.
I don’t like the way that
she did that only two
students have work. But
the thing that I like it
when the teacher was
keeping asks the
students.
