Type and function of
transitions
1. Arrival to class and greeting
students and morning
assembly
Grade: Kg 2/3
Strategies used to facilitate transitions
The teacher greets some of the children
and she asks the students take the
small white board and write anything
without make noisy.
If some students make noise in the class
the teacher will shout and will take the
small board from the student.
Then she will say line up it is time for
the morning assembly.
Efficacy of the strategy in terms of
promoting positive behavior and
minimizing challenging behavior.
The Positives thing when the students
make noise and the teacher take from
them the small board it is like
punishments for the students so they
should listen to the teacher and don’t
make noise in the class.
The negatives thing when the teacher say
write anything in the board this way
make the students play not learn.
Suggestions for further development.
The transition appears it is important for
each class but not the all teacher use the
transition in correct way.
When the teacher say take the small board
and set her point is to make the students
in the mat without any noisy or move and
run in the class.
In the future when I will be teacher maybe
I will use this idea that make students use
the small white board but my point will be
to make for them revision about what they
took yesterday for example, they took
latter B,b the students when come to the
school they will write in the small board
latter B,b if they wrote it in correct they
will make line up to do the morning
assembly but if the students wrote the
latter in wrong way so the students will sit
in the class until they wrote it correctly.

2. Circle time to the corner The teacher will explain the lesson then
will say the name of the students in the
group red she did the same way for all
groups.
The students will stand and the teacher
will ask them in which table they should
set.
3. Clean time to the circle time The teacher will say now you should
clean the class and then set in the mat
it is time to till you story.
If the students doesn’t clean the
teacher will shout and say you will go
to other class I don’t want you in my
class.
The positives thing when the teacher
teaches the students and the all students
is attention with the teacher.
The negatives thing when the teacher ask
each name of the students to stand for
their group this way the students will
never know they are in which group.
The negatives things teacher never use
the materials and when she say to the
students I don’t want you in my class
then the students cry and they make
more noise.
The transition appears it is make easily
way for teacher to control the students.
For example she can say one word that
make students understand what they
should do.
When the teachers say the name for each
students I think she will fell tired because
every day she should say their name and
the students will be borings because they
will wait until the teachers say her name
this way the teacher will waist her time.
The best way that I will do it in the future
is to give each students color that will
know they will be in witch team and when
I say red group stand up they will stand
and go to the table red.
The transition appears make students
more organize and we have too many
materials that we can use it to the student.
My MST likes to talk more then use
materials she can use bell or music it is
easier than talk.
I will say first class class class then the
students will say yes yes yes I will say look
at me and listen to me collect everything I
will count from 1 to 10 you should be in
the mat. When I finish count I will use the
bell to say for them time over lest make a
quick revision then I will tiled you a story.
