These instructions are for software installation and activation with a site/lab
license registration number.
Activating a site/lab license must be done via batch file and/or the command line.
Do not enter a site/lab license in the standard registration dialog within Stella
Professional, as it will fail.
You can automate the license activation process using your own batch script
(running as administrator).
Your process would include two steps, installing the software and running the
activation batch file.
The lab_pack_sp activation batch files support passing the registration number as
an argument.
If you choose to install Stella Professional to a non-default location, you will
need to run the activation batch file from that same location.
Note that the Windows software installer supports the following two command line
arguments.
/S runs the installer silently.
/D sets the installation directory. It must be the last parameter used in the
command line and must not contain any quotes, even if the path contains spaces.
Only absolute paths are supported.
Windows example:
Stella_Professional_1.x_64bit_Setup.exe /S
lab_pack_sp.bat 123-456-789-012
Mac example:
yes | hdiutil attach ./Stella_Professional_1.x.dmg > /dev/null
cp -rf "/Volumes/Stella Professional Installer/Stella Professional.app"
/Applications
hdiutil detach "/Volumes/Stella Professional Installer" -quiet
./lab_pack_sp.bash 123-456-789-012
