DRIVEN IN SWEDEN
The biofuel-fired boiler plant for Kappa Kraftliner
AB's mill in Piteå, in Northern Sweden, will be
Kvaerner Power's first large new BFB boiler
delivery to the forest industry in Sweden. The
project can with good reason be regarded as a
multi-level environmental act.
The boiler will be utilizing bio fuel with small
amounts of plastic reject from the mill. The state-
of-the-art technology will reduce emissions
considerably, and the plant façade will be
designed to have an imposing view of the mill
from the nearby city centre.

The façade is designed to meet both aesthetic and

industrial requirements.
