Introduction

Our lesson for today is all about the factors

that influence home management, at the end
of the lesson, you are expected to:
Distinguish the factors that influence home
management discusses the factors that

the factors that influence home management.

Is that clear class? Yes, ma’am

Very good

The factors that influence home management

Implementing – as soon as plan have been

carefully thought out and the activities and the
resources have been chosen they are ready to
be cared out.

Evaluating – the results of an activity will

show wither the goals set at the beginning
were attained efficiently.

A LESSON PLAN IN EPP IV
4 A’S APPROACH
I. Objectives

Within the period, students are expecting to:

A – Discover the area of a triangle

B – Answer the problem involving area of triangles
C – Apply what they have learned in real life.

II. Subject Matter

Topic : Area of Trangle
References: Textbook in Mathematics V
Materials : Ruler, scissors, pencil

III. Methodology
Teachers Activity Learners Activity
A. Activities
Prayer

Good morning class! Before we start our  Good morning Sir!

lesson may we all stand up and pray. (the (The student will stand up and pray)
teacher will pray)

1. Review

Okay class did you still remember our  Yes Sir

lesson yesterday?

About what?  Sir

(Answer may vary)
Okay very good.

Our lesson yesterday is all about the area  Student will raise their hands
of a parallelogram. Who will still
remember the formula in solving for the
area of parallelogram?

Let’s call for student 1.  (answer may vary)

Okay very good

2. Motivation

Okay class who want prizes?  The student will raise their hands

So many of you wants prizes. Well I have  The student will raise their hands
a puzzle here. I want someone to assemble
the puzzles together and create a right
triangle for it whoever assembles the
puzzles will get prizes. Any volunteer.

Okay student C, give it a try.  Student C will assemble the puzzle

Very good let’s give him a wow clap.  The student will clap

Well I have another question. Is it possible  Different responses

to rearrange the pieces and come up with a
triangle with some base and same height?

Who can give it a try?  Some student will raise their hand.

How about you student B?  Student B will try to assemble the

puzzle

Okay thank for trying anyone else?  No one raise their hands

So if nobody wants to try it let me show

you how it is deep. (the teacher will show
the class how to solve the puzzle)

B. Analysis

1. Motive question

So from our activity, who could guess our  Student will raise their hands
topic for today?

Let’s call student C.  Answer may vary

Okay very good

2. Presentation

So our topic for today is about area of

triangle. I know that every one of you
knows what is a triangle.

3. Drill

I want you to group yourselves into 3  The students will group themselves
groups into 3 groups

Now that you have grouped yourselves, I  Yes teacher

will give each group activity sheets. All
members should participate, okay?

Okay, very well then

(The teacher will distribute the activity  The student will scan the activities
sheets to each group) sheets

Did you bring scissors and rules?  Yes teacher

Very good will needs that in our activity.

So the instructions are written on the

activity sheets. After that, record the data
and answer the following questions.

1. What are the area of the triangles A, B,

and C? How about the triangles they
formed?

2. What is the sum of the area of the two

triangles formed by rectangle A?

3. What is the largest triangle they

formed? What can you say about its
area compare to its original shops?

Okay class, time up!  The student will stop what they are
doing and will sit properly

So may I call each group representatives to  Groups representative will come in

present their findings? front and present their findings

Group 1:
- Answer may vary

Group 2:
- Answer may vary

Group 3:
- Answer may vary

C. Abstraction

1. Generalization

You all did great in our activity. So now,  Answer may vary
let’s come to the discussion. What can you
say about the area of the triangle and
rectangle they formed?

Very good

Now let me ask you, if the area of  Answer may vary

rectangle or any parallelogram is equal to
base times height, what is the area of a
triangle?

Okay, very good

The formula for finding the area of a

triangle is A = ½ on since the area of a
triangle is one half of the area of
parallelogram.

So now let’s have examples.

Find the area of the given triangle.

May we have a volunteer?

 Student D will raise his hand

Okay, they to solve it.

 Student D will answer the example

That’s correct

Very good student D.

Reminder guys, never forget the units

 Yes teacher
okay?

Okay are there any question? So let’s have

 None teacher!
a recap

What is the formula in finding the area of a

 Answer may vary
triangle?

Very good

You all did understand the lesson

D. Application

1. Evaluation

Okay class, since time are no more question

 The class will answer the problems
and you all understand the lesson;
Please answer the problems in the
questionnaire that will be handed to you.

(The teacher will distribute the Questionnaire)

Okay guys times up! Please pass your paper to  The students will stop writing and
the front and please copy your assignments. will pass their paper to the front

2. Assignment

Answer the following:

1. The perimeter of an isosceles triangle is 16

meters and has on area of 12 cm2 . it’s
height is 4m. find the measure of its side.

2. Find the area of an equilateral whose side

is 10 in in length.

So goodbye class!  Goodbye teacher

See you tomorrow
