Tuesday, November 20, 2018, approximately 0200 hours, Ridgeland Police Department was
dispatched to the area of East County Line Road near the Jackson Hilton on a report of an injured
female lying in the middle of the road. Upon officers’ arrival, they encountered a 24 year of age female
who had sustained major injuries to her body. Investigation by the on scene officers determined the
female was the victim of a domestic violence event which began at the Rodeway Inn located at 832
East County Line Road. According to statements from the victim, she and her ex-boyfriend had
engaged in an argument in the parking lot of Rodeway Inn which escalated to her being dragged
through the parking lot as the male subject drove the vehicle. The suspect had pinned the victims arm
in the door of the vehicle as he drove away and eventually opened the door releasing her. The victim
was reported to have been run over by the vehicle as well. During the course of the investigation, the
suspect was identified by the victim as Paul Bogan Vaughn, 28 year of age, B/M of Florence, MS.
Vaughn is reported to have family in the Hammond, Louisiana area as well. Vaughn was last seen in
a gold Chevrolet Cruze with possible Louisiana license plates. Charges were filed and an active arrest
warrant for Aggravated Domestic Violence is being held for the arrest of Paul Bogan Vaughn. Anyone
