Shedid A. Shedid PhD
Dr. Shedid has more than 24 years’ experience as a professor
and consultant in oil and gas engineering. He has conducted
consultation and research projects in the USA, Australia, Egypt,
and the UAE. He has written two books and published numerous
scientific papers developing and analysing new techniques and
industry models to solve real industry problems.
Since earning his BSc and MSc Petroleum Engineering degrees and
later his PhD from the University of Oklahoma, USA, Dr. Shedid has supervised and examined
masters and doctorate dissertations in a variety of countries. He has lectured at Texas A&M
University (TAMU) and the University of Western Australia (UWA).
He is a technical editor and reviewer for four US Journals. In addition to his work with IBC
Academy, Dr. Shedid also teaches numerous industry short courses in reservoir engineering,
enhanced oil recovery (EOR), and petroleum production engineering in different countries
including Algeria, the UAE, Egypt, Australia, Malaysia, Libya, China), Kuwait, Indonesia,
Vietnam, Oman and India.
In the last 25 years Dr Shedid has lived and worked in six countries and travelled to more
than 12, which has given him unique insight and industry experience into the challenges and
success associated with petroleum engineering projects across the globe.
