Background / Symptom

Unable to enter either the Service Mode or it could be the Administrator

Mode.

Issue / Cause

If the Service Mode CE Password or the Administrator Password is entered

incorrectly 3 times, the machine will automatically lock the Passwords so you
cannot enter either one of the 2 modes.
The Resetting Procedure instructions in the Service manual are incorrect.

Advice and Solution

Please follow the corrected procedures on the following page.

These new corrected procedures will be included in the next version of the
Service Manual when it is updated in the future.

CE Password Lock & Administrator Lock
New Release Method

1. Symptom

The Access Lock can't be released when the machine is in the access lock state, by making a
mistake in the CE password 3 times, even if the Power Switch is turned OFF/ON.

2. Cause

Release method was changed from Firmware Maintenance Relareace 5 (A3GN30G0516-999),

but there was no mentioning in the Program Release InformationDLBT1416275EN.

3. Countermeasures

The way of the CE Password access lock release was changed as follows:

1. [MENU]
2. [COUNTER]
3. [KEYPAD]
4. Stop => 0 => 9 => 3 => 1 =>7
a) Do nothing else at this time.
5. Leave the machine alone for 5 minutes or more.
6. After 5 minutes, the access lock will be released.

*It is not necessary to turn the Power Switch OFF/ON.*

 Administrator Password Lock Reset Method
The way of the Administrator Password access lock release was changed as follows:

1. Call the Service Mode to the screen.

2. Touch [Menu]
3. Touch [Counter]
4. Display the 10-key pad, and press the following keys in this order:
Stop > 0 > 0 > Stop > 0 > 1
5. Touch the Password Input Area and, using the keyboard on the screen, Type the CE
Password. (92729272).
6. Touch [OK].
7. The Service Mode Appears.
8. Display the 10-key pad, and press the following keys in this order:
Stop -> 2 -> 2 -> 2 -> 0 -> 0
9. The Security Service Mode Screen appears.
10.Select Administrator Unlocking Button.
11.Select "OK" Key
12.Switch Machine OFF/ON.
