In the beginning I will read the target with them then we will start by reading Quran.
After that I will bring a box provided with cards of math signs (+&=)and I will say:
Today we have two visitors, guess what we have inside the box, then I will open the box and take the plus and
equal cards out, show them the cards and ask them. say hello to Ms. plus and Mr. equal
Then I will ask them Do you know what are these signs?
I don’t know what are these signs , who can help me?
I will let them share with me what they know.
Then I will explain it to them clearly( this is plus sign and it is mean all to gather):I will ask them to repeat with me
:it is mean all together…. and this is = sign which give us the answer.

After that I will explain how to make sums (the plus sign has to be in the middle of two numbers 2+1 and the =
sign has to be before the answer 2+1=3).
Then I will show them in the board how to make it , ask them questions by using PowerPoint to make sure that
they understand the lesson.
I will show them a picture that have all the math signs and I will ask them can you count only the plus and equal
signs ?
How many plus signs?
and how many equal signs?
Now add them together…
What’s the total number of them?
1- I will tell them that yesterday I went to the supermarket and I bought 3 lollipops then I add 2
more.(they will be PowerPoint slides in the board that has lollipops).
Who can give me the total number of these two groups?
Can you write a sum for me please?
Let’s see if it is correct or not.

Then in the carpet I will explain each activity clearly and give them the instructions, after that I will call each
group to move nicely to their tables.
At the end:
Ask children to clean up and back to set in the carpet then I will give each child small boards that have different
question for (high , medium, low) ability, it depends on children’s level.

Assessment for Learning:

-To assess children’s learning. I will give them papers that have sums and they have to solve them.

- I will use assessment sheet after doing the activities which will provide me the information about children’s
level . A sheet that contain 4 columns, one for children’s names and the three others for (low, medium ,high)
ability.
