Summative Assessment

2. How does this lesson help to prepare students for completing the summative assessment at the end of the Unit
(essay, project, test, etc.)
This lesson prepares students for the assessment by helping them develop the skills necessary to stay on task and
manage their impulsivity both in and outside of the classroom. This skill is needed in completing bridge assignments
because many of the tasks are independent.

Formative Assessment These are some guiding questions to help you understand what a formative assessment
should be. This written product does not have to be in the form of an “Exit Ticket”. It can be the work sample from
today’s lesson.
Students should list three actionable items that will help them start to manage their impulsivity today.
Activities/Tasks: What will take place in the classroom that will help Ss practice the Skills above and will help them
to complete the formative assessment?
Students define the term “impulsive” and write it on their worksheet. Whole class shares their responses.
Whole class documents next steps on the board. These should be actionable items that the students can do in order to manage their
impulsivity in the future.
Students list three things that they can do to manage their impulsivity based off of the student driven instruction.
