NOTES
This Army List isn't a completely true rewrite. I originally intended to copy the Army List exactly for my
own future use as I haven't found any updated version on the internet. The list isn't 100% perfect in
terms of layout and I've perhaps tried to squeeze too much within the Inquisitorial entries.
WHY? Because I was disappointed GW couldn't be ****ed when they put the “Codex books” online – and even
more disappointed that they couldn't tell the difference between a Codex book and an Army List (though I own
both Daemonhunters and Witch Hunters the principle of the thing galled me).
WHAT'S CHANGED? I've tried to keep it as close as possible to the original list. I have, however, taken certain
liberties that I feel any reasonable opponent wouldn't begrudge in a friendly game environment. All units are
armed with frag and krak grenades as standard with the original points cost for these 'upgrades' included in their
points costs. I haven't charged characters to take frag and krak grenades (all for the sake of the possible 15
points it would cost if one were to take 2 HQ choices and 3 Inquisitors as Elites). Other liberties include options
for the Priests & Veteran Superiors, which I have picked out as being the most logical, Retributor's given access
to Heavy Flamers (Holy Trinity and all) as well as the addition of Forgeworld's Repressor kit as a dedicated
transport and altered/updated Allies rules. In line with recent Codex books I have made Immolators a 13 choice
as I have never been tempted to include one myself outside of a dedicated transport role & given all vehicles
smoke lauchers and searchlights for no additional cost as well as access to certain vehicle options which the
codex currently denies.
SUGGESTED CHANGES?
I would seriously reconfiger the Acts of Faith rules – having them instead altered to be of use anytime. I
would also bring all weapons uptodate (AP 5 'Hellguns' just aren't cool) and tweak points costs here and there
– 11 points for a Sister with frag and krak grenades would be adequate enough for me. I'd also give the option of
having Sister Squads to take bolt pistols, close combat weapons & praesidium protectivas' with the option of a
couple of Eviscerators/hand flamers etc (or perhaps as a seperate unit altogether) and many other tweaks here
and there, regarding Sarissas, etc as well as dropping all plasma pistols in regards to the Sisters, allowing them
to take inferno pistols and hand flamers instead as, a player, I feel the 'Holy Trinity' should be rigorously adhered
to.
I would really consider giving Immolators the 'Fast' rule as this would justify their high points cost as they
stand and, I believe, reflect the fluff of such fanatical zealots a little more, as well as adjusting all vehicle points
costs to their newer equivalents (85 points for a basic Chimera is ridiculous). I'd also be tempted to give the
Sister's vehicles the use of flamers and meltaguns as well as storm bolters for their pintle mounts – further
emphasising the 'Holy Trinity' aspect of the army even more. I'd also have to include Uriah Jacobus as a Special
Character along with a new Canoness & a Seraphim, Dominion & Retributor type of Unique upgrade, as well as
making Assassins a little deadlier I guess we'll have to wait and see what the minds of GW come up with for the
seemingly impending Grey Knights and hope and pray the Sisters will get a plastic boost/major rerelease
sometime in the next 2 years (being optimistic). I may put all such changes into my own fandex/army list in the
future but am looking forward to what GW come up with in x years time.
