Questions
Class for Adults
Living the Questions with ministerial & lay leaders
As we move toward Advent, this class
provides the opportunity to discuss and
reflect on your Christian faith with
members and friends of Plymouth.
Using the Living the Questions curriculum,
explore the future of progressive Christianity
and what a meaningful faith can look like
in today’s world.
Each class starts with a 20-minute video
that includes leading voices of faith, stories
illustrating aspects of an evolving faith, and
concrete spiritual practices and disciplines.
Then join fellow classmates in a one-hour
discussion to share your perspectives.
The Curriculum
The thought-provoking Living the Questions
curriculum is “an open-minded alternative
to studies that attempt to give participants
the answers”.

Class for Children
Again this session, Linda Strandberg and
Lamar Lofton will lead the kids in a creative arts
exploration of Northern and Southern American
music, rhythm, and dance culminating in a joyful
presentation at Sunday worship. Appropriate
for kids age 6 through Junior High.
Youth
Our new Youth Coordinators, David and Robin
Mallory, will lead a discussion group just for high
school age teens so that they can explore faith
questions of their own.
Childcare
Childcare will be available for children under
6 years of age.

Lenten series last spring and want to continue
your exploration with topics such as the
prophetic Jesus, evil, and practicing resurrection.
Sign up for LtQ 102 if you want to begin your
faith exploration of the Bible, stories of Creation,
and the life of Jesus.

of the Church of the Beatitudes, UCC in Phoenix
and a founding member of The Jesus Seminar.
Emilie Townes Professor of African American
Religion and Theology at Yale Divinity School
and an ordained American Baptist clergywoman.
She is the author of numerous books on ethics
and social theory.
Rick Ufford-Chase A border mission worker
from the Southside Presbyterian Church in
Tucson, Arizona and former Moderator
of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian
Church (USA).
