MERCHANT ACQUIRING BUSINESS Point of Sale (POS)

SALIENT FEATURES OF POS TERMINALS AND MAB

•Merchant Acquiring Business is installing PoS terminals at the


outlets of Trading/Service establishments to enable them to
receive payments across the counter by means of Card Swiping.
•PoS terminal can also be used for disbursing cash to the needy
customers through Cash@PoS facility.
•Transactions done on any day will be credited to their C A/c on
next day morning.
Benefits to the Merchants
Cash handling is avoided, which is risky.
Saves time and money in visiting Bank Branch.
More sales and higher profits as the customers have tendency
of higher purchases while using the card than cash.
Additional revenue stream from value added services such as
Cash @ POS, Cash Back offers etc.
In Cash@POS facility merchant will get Rs.5/- per transaction
as incentive. ( Min. Rs.100/- & Max. Rs.2,000/- in multiples of
Rs.100/-).
