2 FEATURE INFORMATION

2.1 Feature Overview

This feature is to validate the use of WTA (Wireless Trace Analyzer) tool in a Small Cells
deployment.

2.2 Feature Description

This feature allows validating:

1. On WTA tool, RF traces and call traces generated by Small Cells Network Elements
(AP, Small Cell Gateway and IPC).

2. Decoding of traces by WTA tool

WTA supports collection, parsing/decoding/analyzing of the below interfaces:

 AP / Small Cell / Femto : RRC and RANAP Interfaces

 SCGW : RANAP Interface
 IPC : RANAP and ALCAP Interfaces

WTA also supports RF Call Trace files collection, parsing/decoding/analyzing and provides
following metrics based on UE, User Plane and Common measurements:

Metric Group Metric Name

Small Cell - RF Trace - Common RSSI
Small Cell - RF Trace - Common Transmitted Carrier Power
Small Cell - RF Trace - Common Transmitted Pilot Power
Small Cell - RF Trace - Common Transmitted Code Power
Small Cell - RF Trace - Common SIR
Small Cell - RF Trace - Common SIR Error
Small Cell - RF Trace - Common Acknowledged PRACH PreAmble
Small Cell - RF Trace - Common Average Processor Occupancy
Small Cell - RF Trace - UserPlane UpLink SIR Target
Small Cell - RF Trace - UserPlane Transport Channel BLER
Small Cell - RF Trace - UserPlane Transport Channel Throughput
Small Cell - RF Trace - UserPlane Transport Channel BLER (Temporal)
Small Cell - RF Trace - UserPlane Transport Channel Throughput (Temporal)
Small Cell - RF Trace - UE UE Transmit Power
Small Cell - RF Trace - UE UE Transport Channel BLER
Small Cell - RF Trace - UE Scrambling Code
Small Cell - RF Trace - UE CPICH ECNo
Small Cell - RF Trace - UE CPICH RSCP
