Lesson Plan Format 2018-II

Lesson Name: Work and Leisure Lesson Number: Four

Institution: Centro Cultural Colombo Americano
Pre-service Teacher in Charge: Miguel Mejía Flórez
Grade: Level Four
Date of implementation: September 11th, 2018 Time of the class: 4 hours

RATIONALE:

This fourth lesson plan deals with a review and revision of the Simple Present
tense with main verbs different from BE. The students in this group already
studied this topics and are expected to produce statements to describe their
routines, and the everyday activities that are customary for them and their
families. They will be using the Simple Present tense to describe routines of
workers and people in their jobs.

One aspect of this target grammar that requires more practice is the use of the
3rd Person Singular conjugation. Another issue that poses a challenge for
students is to structure questions and use auxiliaries correctly. In this lesson,
the students will do a mingling activity to practice this questions.

As an assessment activity, the students will have the opportunity to talk about
artists and celebrities of their interest, by creating a short interview they will
present in open class.
