1- WHAT IS A METHOD?

The word Method refers to a set of strategies or tools that are used to reach a precise goal,
the method usually represents an instrumental means by which the works that are made
daily are made. Any process of life requires a method to function. Method is in some way
the way or way of doing something systematically, organized and structured. Refers to a
technique or set of tasks to develop a task.

In some cases it is also understood as the usual way of doing something for a person based
on experience, custom or personal preferences.

2- TALKING ABOUT TEACHING METHODOLOGIES, DID YOU HAVE BAD


EXPERIENCES WHEN LEARNING ENGLISH AT SCHOOL?

In my elementary school I had the same teacher for being a rural area and a single teacher
for all grades and all areas, so even though my teacher intended to teach us English it was
very difficult for him, sometimes he gathered everyone the grades and he taught us
something basic.

When I entered school I had many flaws that made it difficult for me to learn the concepts
and I had to study hard to improve my performance. Being English a matter of my liking. I
put all my efforts to improve.

3- DO YOU CONSIDER THAT A TEACHER CAN USE MORE THAN ONE


ENGLISH TEACHING METHODOLOGY? WHY?

The teacher who looks for students learns and appropriates the concepts he teaches, does
not stay in a single learning strategy but instead looks for methodologies that fit the subject
he is teaching his students.

4- DO YOU KNOW ABOUT ENGLISH

TEACHING METHODOLOGIES? IF SO, WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE ONE?

There are several English language teaching methodologies: Direct method, Natural
approach, Audio-lingual method, Cognitive approach to academic language learning, Total
physical response, Suggestopedia, Writing, listening, and speaking.
I think that depending on the topic that is taught at the time, the strategy must be adapted.
In some topics the use of a specific strategy will be more appropriate.

5- WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THE ROLE OF THE TEACHER IN


TEACHING ENGLISH?

I think that teachers plays a fundamental role in the formation of students. the teacher has to
be a dynamic, counselor knowing the subject should exploit the student's skills motivate
their desire to learn, create enjoyable activities that call the student's attention and invite to
appropriate knowledge. The use of tools such as ICT can be an important support in the
teaching of the English language.

6- DO THE MATERIALS USED IN ANY CLASS MEET AN IMPORTANT


ROLE? WRITE THE REASONS.

Didactic aids in the classroom, if used properly, provide students with experiences that
allow them to develop content and develop meaningful learning. It is also a strategy for
teachers to interact with their students, so the opportunity for them for the teaching-learning
process is more comprehensive.

7- DO YOU THINK MOTIVATION IN LEARNING A LANGUAGE DEPENDS


TO THE TEACHER’S METHODOLOGY?

The quality of learning is directly, though not exclusively, related to the quality of teaching.
The motivation of the teacher if it is fundamental. Actual learning in the classroom depends
on the teacher's ability to maintain and improve the motivation that students bring. A
motivated student is more receptive and learns more. so motivation has a very important
influence on learning.

8- WHAT ARE YOUR EXPECTATIONS ABOUT THIS COURSE?

My expectations are to improve and expand my knowledge about the English language
teaching methodology in order to provide my students with the tools and strategies that
favor and guide their learning process.
