Summary

• Key determinants resulting in the need to support the development of

renewable energy sources in Poland, in particular wind energy, include:
• international commitments regarding the energy sector made by Poland
• National targets for renewable energy development

• Wind business is not any more a small part of Polish energy sector
(Polish market needs investments on the level of approx. € 10 bln to build
6,5 GW wind capacity until 2020)
• Poland is the most prospective market of Central, Eastern and South-
Eastern Europe, with good natural, infrastructural and legal background
for wind investors
• Wind investments should get back on the right track when the final
draft of act modifying support scheme for RES is signed by PM and then
when the new law is implemented
