ABSTRACT

Introduction. Cutaneous Tuberculosis (Scrofuloderma) is a result of the percontinuitatum

sreaping from organs under the skin that have been infected by Mycobacterium, generally
from lymph nodes. It is commonly found in the neck area.

Case illustration. A 26-year-old man complained of a wound in the neck area of the
supraclavicular section. It was began with a reddish lump then it’s filled with pus and
ruptured 2 years ago. That happened to the second lupm as well, it ruptured and also caused a
wound in the neck area. The patient was also newly diagnosed with pulmonary tuberculosis
and cutaneous tuberculosis (Sclofuroderma) from history taking, physical examination and
supportive examination. GenXpert's examination results showed positive results of Basil
Acid Resistant.

Discussion. Cutaneous tuberculosis (scrofuloderma) is due to direct spread to the skin of the
organs under the skin that have been exposed to tuberculosis infection, especially in the skin
of the lymph glands area. However, the cause of cutaneous tuberculosis in this patient was
not known exactly, but based on the history taking, the clinical appearance of the patient and
the results of supportive examination, basil acid resistant was possitive,. Port d'entree of the
neck lymph glands are tonsils and lungs

Conclusion. Diagnosis of the patient was made by the history taking, such as a contact with
other tuberculosis patients, work or residence environment and the complaints of ulcer
injuries on the neck and the clinical appearance.
