Whether it’s directional drilling, side-
tracking a deep, hot hole, or deepening
an existing well, Drilex has the motor
to optimize performance.
Motors for Coiled Tubing
Operations
In coiled tubing applications, Drilex
motors have unmatched experience in
coiled tubing drilling and thru-tubing
workovers. Drilex offers the most pow-
erful PDMs available for coiled tubing
applications. These motors have been
specially designed with high flow rate
capability and greater torque output to
meet the unique needs of drilling and
thru-tubing operations.
Shorter on average than comparable drilling motors, Drilex short radius motors are still fully-powered in
torque and horsepower. The patented Drilex short power section technology eliminates the need for
articulations while achieving build rates in excess of 75°/100 ft (or a 76 ft radius).

Single-and Dual-Bend Motors

for Medium Radius Curves
The Drilex single- and dual-bend
motors are ideal for drilling the curved
sections of medium radius wells. These
unique motors feature:
• power section designs that minimize
distances between bends, improving
build rates and delivering more avail-
able torque
• specially-designed bearing sections to
further enhance build rates (up to Drilex motors deliver faster horizontal ROP to
40°/100ft) achieve lower cost per foot.

Drilex HP Motors
The new Drilex HP motors are de-
signed to take “high performance” to a
higher level. These new motors feature
a single-piece, multi-stage power sec-
tion that delivers all the torque and
horsepower of our tandem motors with
a significantly reduced length. Cur-
rently available models include the
287, 350, and 475.
