Manage children behaviour.

1. Choose and describe an aspect from a teaching competency that you need to work on (Goal)
My target is to manage children behaviour and avoid misbehaving by apply different techniques to children.
2. Describe what you will do to help achieve your goal (Strategies Used)
I will apply several techniques to discipline children behaviour and encourage them to follow the classroom rules
by use I massage, positive reinforcement, reward system, and eye contact.

3. Describe how you can tell if you’re achieving your goal (Evidence)
I will know if I achieved my PDP goal by hear my MST advice and saw her assessment note about my
performance.

In this lesson, I will be using the following equipment’s

Introduction (warmer activity + teacher active engagement)

I will start the lesson with the morning greetings, weather and days of the week as well as months of
the year.

I will remind students of letter Kk and its sound.

I guide students to look at displayed pictures on the smart board and ask children to name pictures that
start with K. For example, Key- king- kettle- ketchup- kitten-kite

I will teach children who to write letter K by display video on the screen. Then I will ask children to
write it on the floor

I will explain the centre’s activity.

Independent Experience (small group activity 1)

Low activity: Trace letter K by putting keys.

What teacher do:

- I will provide the materials.


- I will observe children and encourage them by prises.

What student do:

- Each child will take letter K paper


- The children will trace letter K by use keys pictures.

Independent Experience (small group activity 2)

Middle activity: Form letter Kk by use clay

What teacher do:

- Provided the clay.

- Manage children behaviour.


What student do:

- Respond with materials.

- Follow the instructions and form letter K.

Independent Experience (small group activity 3)

High activity: Identify pictures start with \k\ sound.


What teacher do:

- I will evaluate this group by asking questions such as: Can you draw letter k in the air?
What the sound of \k\? Give me other words start with \k\ sound.
What student do:

- Find pictures start with \k\ sound and put it in K worksheet.

- Provide answers to my questions.

I will play clean up the song and ask children to return the materials back and line up.
