Rock Hill, MO, December 06, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Special thanks to Julia Turshen for interviewing
Hishaw about her work with small farmers! “The Daughter of the Soil” article focuses on Hishaw's past
family farm loss and present professional efforts with F.A.R.M.S.! Hishaw discusses the reasons why
Blacks lose 30,000 acres of landownership per year in addition to how F.A.R.M.S. has provided
assistance to farmers in order to ensure landownership for the next generation.

to be featured in Ms. Winfrey's esteemed publication! Dealing with an aging population we are grateful
for the timing of the article as one farmer transitions in death or while leaving due to dementia
generational knowledge is quickly depleting. I am hopeful this article will compel people to support our
efforts as the year ends.”
