STANDARDS AND GUIDELINES FOR UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE
PROGRAMS IN TEACHER EDUCATION FOR REGIONS IV,
MIMAROPA, NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION, AND V

The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) through the Technical Panel for Teacher
Education (TPTE) will conduct a Zonal Public Orientation on the approved Policies, Standards
and Guidelines for the undergraduate Teacher Education programs for Regions IV,
MIMAROPA, National Capital Region, and V on September 27-28, 2018 in Quezon City
Relative to this, heads/representatives of higher education institutions (HEIs) offering
undergraduate teacher education programs, representatives from concemed government
agencies, industry, professional organizations and major stakeholders, and CHEDRO
Directors/Supervisors in-Charge of the programs are invited to attend the said activity. A copy
of the approved PSGs may be downloaded from the CHED website (www.ched.gov.oh click
Resources/Issuances-CHED Memorandum Orders)
Funds for travel and other incidental expenses of participants from CHED Regional
Offices (one representative per CHEDRO) will be transferred to their respective offices while
participants coming from public HEIs shall be charged against their local funds subject to
usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations. Participants from private HEIs and other
stakeholders shall have to make arrangements on their travel expenses with their respective
institutions,
Food during the public orientation shall be provided by CHED. To ascertain logistic
preparations, only one (1) representative per HEI shall be allowed to attend this activity. CHED
Regional Offices are requested to forward confirmations of participants from their respective
regions to CHED-Office of Programs and Standard Development not later than five (5) days
before the date of public orientation. For confirmation or inquiries, please contact Mr. Ericson
