    SUBJECT : 2018 National Women’s Month Celebration

    DATE : March 23, 2018

    1. Memo from Acting Chief, PCR Branch dated February 23, 2018 on the
    subject same as stated above.

    2. In compliance to the above reference, the following were the activities


    initiated and participated by this station:

    At 8:00 AM of March 8, 2018, personnel


    together with SPO1 Lerie Pelayo and SPO1
    Gheraldine Respicio, FJGSS PNCOs displayed
    tarpaulin infront of the Police Station in
    observance of the Women’s Month 2017. This
    year’s theme is “We Make Change Work For
    Women!”

    At
    8:00 AM of March 8, 2018, personnel together with SPO1 Lerie Pelayo and SPO
    Gheraldine Respicio, FJGSS PNCO and women from multi-sectoral groups marched
    their way across the streets of Laoag City passing the Laoag City Commercial Complex
    and holding their placards which will serve as their voice to promote women’s right and
    women can be agent of change. Said activity was conducted in connection with the
    2017 Women’s Month celebration.

    At 5:00 PM of March 8, 2018, Under the


    direct uperviion of PSUPT DOMINIC GUERRERO<
    Chief of Police, Laoag City PS, SPO1 Lerie Pelayo
    and SPO1 Gheraldine Respicio, FJGSS PNCO’s
    participated in the “Rampang Ganda Kinni Kinni for
    Women’s Rights” parade which was initiated by the
    Provincial Government of Ilocos Norte.

    At 10:00 AM of March 16, 2018, SPO1 Lerie


    Pelayo, FJGSS PNCO distributed eighty (80)
    leaflets on RA 9262 to the Barangay Officials and
    women at Brgy. 1 San Lorenzo Laoag Ciy. The
    leaflets were distributed in an effort to stop any
    forms of abuse against women and children and it is
    a relevant information material to inform them to
    prevent them from being a victim of abuse.

    At 10:00 AM of March 20, 2018, under the


    Direct supervision of PSUPT DOMINIC B
    GUERRERO, Officer In Charge, SPO1 Lerie
    pelayo, FJGSS PNCO of Laoag City PS conducted
    seminar on RA 9262 to the Barangay Officials,
    BHW, different women organization an 4Ps at
    Brgy.60 – A Caaoacan, Laoag City in connection
    with the Women’s Month celebration. Topics
    discussed were the salient features of RA 9262 and
    punishment and penalties. The women participants
    were also encouraged to be agents of change in
    the community. Likewise, they were informed the
    existence of VAW desk of the PNP and encouraged them to report any incident of
    abuse. There were 50 participants in the said activity.
    .

    At 10:00 PM of March 16, 2018, SPO1 Lerie


    Pelayo, FJGSS PNCO distributed fifty (50) leaflets
    on RA 9262 to the women of the different
    organization during conduct of lecture on RA 9262
    Brgy 1 San Lorenzo, Laoag City.
