are employed:
a. Turbine
b. Compressor
c. Nozzle
d. Heat Exchanger
e. Superheated Liquid
f. Heat Pump
g. Thermocouple
h. Concept of ‘entropy’ (Hint: Power generation)
i. Vapor and combine power cycles (Hint: Power generation)
4. Which one of the following engines are employed majorly in your chosen industry: Otto, Diesel,
Stirling, Ericsson and Brayton etc? What is their major function?
Note: Each answer must carry a proper reference and all the costs must be in Pakistani Rupees.
Any two or more assignments having same contents will be strictly marked with a score of ZERO

b. Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle (IGCC)
3. In 3-4 lines describe briefly, how temperature variations are related to the operation of different
electronic devices? (Answer with at least two main points)
4. What are the temperature limits for safe operation of electronic circuitry in your computer
processor (laptop or desktop) and that in your mobile phone? What are the potential consequences
if the ambient temperature crosses such limit either way? (Consult their websites to ensure exact
figures)
Note: Each answer must carry a proper reference and all the costs must be in Pakistani Rupees.
