I am writing to apply for the junior technical writer position that was recently posted with the
company: The Creative Group. As far as my qualifications are concerned, I recently completed a
Bachelor’s Degree abroad, in English Language & Literature. In addition to that, I am also currently
pursuing a Master’s Degree in English with a minor/concentration in technical communication at
UNC-Charlotte.

Although, I don’t have any professional writing experiences, I have participated in a variety of
extra-curricular activities inclusive of: Literary and Debating Club, as well as acquired a few
accolades in regards to an online poetry competition in 2011. Furthermore, I had also secured 3rd
place in a few writing competitions during several auditions that took place at the previous
academic institution in which I procured my Bachelor’s Degree, from. Not to mention the fact that
working at a customer service job at Harris Teeter for 11 months greatly facilitated me in obtaining
excellent verbal communication skills. Also, with my background in literature, and the fact that I
pursued a degree abroad, I believe that I am a unique candidate that can be a valuable asset to
your company.
