Attention Confirmed Teens
and Their Parents
On July 31, we are holding a planning meeting for Con-
firmed Saint Matthew Parish teens, 16-18 years old, and
their parents. We will be planning future activities and
events for this group, and listening to ideas for developing
the group in the future. The night will be a combination of
socializing with light food and drinks, and an informal
meeting of the adults. There will be time for billiards, video
games, other entertainment, and an informal discussion for
the teens in the basement. The meeting will be held July 31,
at 7 PM, at the home of John and Janet LeBlanc.

Ministry Highlight
Emergency Call Ministry
On a rotating basis, ministers handle sacramental emer-
gency calls after the church office closes. Ministers serving
in this capacity receive a cell phone to field emergency
calls—forward them to the priest or a deacon as required.
Each volunteer will carry the phone for two
weeks. This ministry receives only a few calls
each month, but performs a much needed ser-
vice. For more information about this minis-

Young Adult Ministry
Are you in your 20s or 30s? Do you know someone who is?
Come meet other married and single Catholic young adults from
Coweta and Fayette county parishes. We meet for social and

Next Sunday will be our Summer Seminarian’s last day at
St. Matthew. As has become our custom, we will take up a
collection for Salomon next weekend. We ask God to con-
tinue to bless him in his life as a seminarian as he responds
faithfully to God’s call to the Priesthood.
