PURPOSE – Why am I teaching this lesson? What do I want the students to know/to be able to do by the end of the
lesson that they could not do before?

 Identify similarities and differences between shapes.

 Name shapes that make up real-world objects.
 Identify specific shapes “circle, square, triangle, rectangle”

is it a mixture?

I used a language that describes shapes, like “angels, round, straight line, etc.”, I want the
students to be able to say the name of the shapes and listen to the description of each shape, it’s
a mixture of their prior knowledge and a new language.
