u u u HOW TO PLAY THE GAME

Each player takes a turn to make an action. You may either fire a shot at
your opponents ships, or you may use your observation ballon once per
game as described on the ship card.

Each type of ship is made up of a different material. You also have three
types of shells in your arsenal. Each one will react differently, so make
sure to consult the ship cards to have a devastating effect.

To make a shot, call out the letter and number to identify the coordinate on the
opponents board. Then say the type of shell used. Put the response of the opposing
player on your lower tracking board. STEM Chemistry

When your opponent calls out a square and there is no ship, say “miss.” If there is a
ship, put the appropriate shell soloution inside using the pipette. If it turns red, then
call out “hit.” If not call out “miss”. If it is a destroyer, and Sodium Carbonate was
fired, then call out “marked”. Make sure to update your own upper tracking
information on the upper board.
