seventeen students to monitor academic and social goals established by students, parents
and administration for the 2017-2018 academic year. Incorporated technology into daily

ExamView.

– Accomplishments
o Achieved the highest student growth data on M.A.P. standardized testing across all
eighth-grade teachers in the DSST network for the 2017-2018 school year.
o Students demonstrated an average growth of 12 points on M.A.P. standardized testing
from fall to winter trimesters.
o Students placed second in the district on the Trimester 1 Interim Assessment.

Eighth Grade Science Teacher August 2013 – July 2017


Douglas County School District

– Taught Chemistry, Physics, Meteorology and Astronomy using multiple inquiry techniques
such as Project Based Learning and Personalized Learning, including accommodations and
differentiation for special education and gifted and talented students. Collaborated with
colleagues to write interdisciplinary unit plans and co-taught with special education and
paraprofessional educators. Incorporated iPads and Chromebooks into classroom learning.
Actively communicated with students and families on class progress and development
issues.

– Accomplishments
o Served as a District Facilitator, designing and teaching a course on student engagement
and personalized learning to over 100 teachers in Douglas County School District.
o Served as a Mentor Teacher, advising two new faculty members to the science team,
one of whom was a first-year teacher.
o Served as a Member of the Building Leadership Team, identifying areas for staff
improvement and establishing long-term goals and rubrics for progress assessment.
o Served as the Team Data Representative monitoring and documenting student progress
in behavior and/or academics and selecting appropriate intervention strategies.
o Participated in TEAM research through Conservation International in La Selva, Costa Rica.
Wrote a climate unit plan based on the field research experience.
