 Students will be able to discover how earth rotation happen.

 Students will be able to differentiate between day and night. Students will be able to
discover how earth rotation happen.

Select (S):
Identify a lesson and what standards are you addressing

Describe (D):
The lesson is for learners to know more about earth and space. The lesson really take place
because students were able to meet all the lesson requirements and they were able to think out of
the box. In that lesson I was trying to achieve student’s knowledge about earth rotation and how
that cause day and night. In the beginning, students were watching a video about earth movement
and they receive the KWL chart and they complete the first two columns. Second, each pairs
received globe, flash light and observation sheet at that moment students were discovering how
the earth rotation happen. Third, students receive worksheets about earth rotation and these were
given according to their level (high, low, medium). Finally, students complete the last column in
their KWL chart by learning what they learned. Overall, learners were hyperactive in the class
and they performed very positively.

Analyze (A):
Students responded the way that I’m expected from them they were discovering the materials and
read the instructions very well to do what I want from them in appropriate way. Learners were
able to response to my questions by saying the full answer and because of that they don’t give me
a chance to ask them why. I engage students by using video, hand on materials (globe and
flashlight) and asking challenging questions. That help students a lot because they have a real life
experience to see how the rotation happen and from that they avoid the misconception that the
sun in moving not the earth.

Appraise (A):
Leaners have wonderful experience because they have a clear and engaging lesson that match
their level of understanding and their intelligences. Also, when we reached to the assessment part
they were very excited to write the information that they know about earth rotation. According to
the assessment part I released that students achieved the learning objectives because there were
able to write in their own words what information that they learned.

Transform (T):
For further implementation, it will be better to discuss the observation sheet first and then let
students complete it with their pairs. For my next lesson, I will give students more time for
discussions and I will extend their knowledge by asking more questions.
