Subjects Score N Mean Std. Deviation

Score in Mathematics 200 52.64 9.368

Score in Science 200 51.85 9.901

Valid N (listwise) 200

From the result presented in the above table, students are better in Maths than Science as mean

score in Maths is greater than the mean in Science. The result in Maths is more consistent as the

SD of Maths score is less than the SD of Science score.

From the above table, the number of students who scored between 40 and 59 is higher than

others, and the number of students who scored between 60 and 79 is followed by the students

scoring between 0 and 39.

200 .196 .172 -.623 .342

Valid N (listwise) 200

From the table 9, the values of both skewness and kurtosis lie between -2 and +2. So, the English

score is normally distributed as assumed by Garson (2010, as cited in Hariri, 2011). This result

permits to use the parametric test such as t-test or ANOVA.

Ans. 10.

Research Hypothesis: There is significant relationship between English Score and Nepali score.
Table 10

Score in English Pearson Correlation 1
Sig. (2-tailed)
N 200
Score in Nepali Pearson Correlation .597 1
Sig. (2-tailed) .000
N 200 200

From the result stated in the table, the correlation between English Score and Nepali score is
positive at moderate level (r=.597). The relationship between these two subjects is significant as
p=.000 is less than level of significance 5% (=.05).
