Main Lesson Aims (Concepts, Procedures, & Processes): By the end of the
Lesson the Student will be able to:

1. understand what a noun is (name of place, person, things and idea)


2. understand the rules to change nouns from singular to Plural Nouns.

Assessment: Literacy skills book: pg.25 activity 2.

Worksheets/ papers Plural nouns worksheets

Teacher materials Classroom materials: whiteboard markers, scissors

Student materials/ Change the nouns activity (chess activity)


Use nouns chart activity (ppt).

Students learn nouns in the beginning of the year.
Nouns refers to person, animal, thing, idea or place.

Possible Problems and Misconceptions (What are some problems that students will face because it is assumed that
they have the previous knowledge?):
1.To remember the rules to change nouns from singular to plural.
2. student misbehave.
3. students who will finish early.

Solutions (How/ What can be done to resolve the problems/misconceptions?):


1. explain the rules and hang the rules in a clear place for everyone to see.

2. Stop the student from the work for 2 min./ or take class dojo point.

3. Work in the sight word puzzle/ build a words activity.


Engage (warm up, review prior knowledge time:
Ask classroom helpers to do their duties (calendar, attendees, morning message and resources).

the teacher will play a short video about the noun for the students.

Core (introduce and practice new concepts & procedures.


The teacher will give each group different activity.
Group 1: learners will work in the student's journals they will glue the plural nouns worksheet in the student's
journals. Students will use literacy skills books pg. 1,6,11,12,17,22. they will change the words from singular to
plural nouns.
Group 2: The teacher will display the power point in the whiteboard. Learners will search for (singular noun)
around the classroom they will write it in a sticky note and stick it in the appropriate box on the whiteboards.

Group 3: Each pair will receive a two-colored stone, worksheet with 29 pictures of different names and a record
sheet. In turn, each student will take a number and move steps according to the number. When they stop in a
number, they will change the noun into a plural noun and write it in record sheet.
Group 4: The teacher will hang the plural nouns pocket in the wall. the teacher will give the students' pencils shape
paper to write the plural nouns and put it in the right pocket.

Close (wrap up, discussion, brief review activity or assessment.


The teacher will ask students:
Thumbs-up if you know how to change the singular noun to plural noun? 5
Thumbs down If you still confused about how to change the singular noun to plural noun?
Ask students to tidy up.
