I think bullying cant be stop as long as Dark Triad personality (selfish and no sympathy to others)
can’t be removed from their self. In psychology, it is said there are individuals who have the Dark
Triad personality that make them aggressive and like to control others. These personality owners
tend to turn others into their victims. They are willing to do whatever they want to achieve without
think about other people.

For example :

ali active in sports. he has been the champion of the run every year. In this year, there was a new
student who became the champion. Ali became jealous and with his selfish, he did the bully to
regain the success he had before. With bullying he just thought he could scare others and make
others weaker without sympathy to other.

From this example clearly show that They have a high of selfish and feel that others are not as good
as they are.

this personality also happen to those who have experienced bullying are twice as likely to go on and
bully others. Maybe they were bullied as kids in the past, or maybe they are being bullied now.
Often it’s used as a defence mechanism and people tend to believe that by bullying others, they will
become immune to being bullied themselves. In fact, it just becomes a vicious cycle of negative
behaviours.

Refer to the F. Diane Barth article, she said that from the negative attitude that will lead us to bad
behaviour. So from this I really confident with my point to said that dark trait personality is cause of
bullying cant stop

Round 2 Refutation (Kritik Other Argument) :

as a third speaker, I would like to mention again your third speaker point that is a program like self-
awareness about bullying can stop bullying issue at the school. I disagree with this view because the
bullying only can be reduced but cannot be stopped. Anti-bullying programs are not as distinguished
and effective as they could be, and sometimes have the opposite effect they were intending. In fact,
anti-bullying programs can lead to children getting bullied more often. For example, in an article
from USA Today by Amanda Oglesby, it talks about how teens experience bullying in schools with
anti-bullying programs compared to those in schools without programs. “In the study of 7,000
students ages 12 to 18 who completed a survey in the 2005-06 school year, researchers found that a
higher percentage of students who attended schools with anti-bullying programs had reported
experiencing bullying than in schools without programs.” (Oglesby, paragraph 4). The fact that more
students are bullied in those schools with the program is proof that anti-bullying programs is not
effective.
Here I have a question to ask. as we know, various programs to create awareness against bullying
crime has been implemented at school level or the state level. but why is there still a bullying issue
in the school and why it still does not stop until now?

for me this question has clearly shown that the program as you say is not effective to stop bullying.

Round 3 Rebuttal (Defence Point Sendiri) :

here I want to emphasize that bully at school can not be stopped through bullying awareness
programs, or even more Islamic schooling changes as long as the dark traits personality (selfish and
no sympathy for others are) in their self. From this personality that will become to the aggressive
behaviour like bullying. Last but not least, we can observe children and create guidelines to reduce
bullying, but there will always be egotistical, hostile individuals in society and bullying at the school
is never can be stop.
