Teacher and children are responsible for the on-going-assessment
of children’ progress and development.
International and national benchmarks are used by Insan Cendekia
Madani school to ensure the school is meeting acceptable standards
in all areas of learning.
H. PHONICS PROGRAM
In Early childhood program, teachers give on-going observation in
order to gather specific information about each child’s development
from day to day basis.
E. REPORTING TO PARENTS
The children report abides by Insan Cendekia Madani Curriculum.
Based on government policy, ICM has privilege to make its own
report card based on each student’s development.
These are the Student’s Progress Report Information:

F. LANGUAGE
A diverse language environment empowers our children to achieve
the highest levels of literacy possible. Children are further enriched
through the development of other languages which includes
the learning of cultures and literature. Insan Cendekia Madani

implements a Dual Language program. This program provides
opportunities for children to use both English and Indonesian in
academic and social situations. We respect and continue the
development of the first language. A high level of proficiency in two
language is the goal of dual language education.
Reading literature is one way to allow us to understand ourselves,
others and the world around us. Children read for enjoyment,
instruction and information so children are given the opportunities
to do so through exposure to wide range of selected fiction and non-
fiction texts. During this library time, children listen to a story told
by a teacher, explore books, choose a book to be borrowed and for
kindergarten children there will be a short session when they can
share their favorite story.
At Insan Cendekia Madani Early Childhood Program, a phonics
programme has been established to encourage children to learn
sound and symbols through fun and engaging activities. It has also
been designed specifically for the needs of our children, to develop
their phonetic awareness, and finally they will enjoy variety of texts
according to their level of understandings.
The programme consists of:
• Letter sound recognition with fun methods through chants and
songs

D. ARRIVAL AND DISMISSAL
ARRIVAL OF STUDENTS (DROP OFF)
• We require your child to come to school on time
• Each morning, your child is welcomed by teachers at the drop off
area. S/he will be encouraged to bring his/her own bag, and go
to the designated waiting areas.
• Should your child be late to school, the security will assist him/
her to the classroom.
RELEASING STUDENTS FROM SCHOOL (PICK UP)
• All children will only be released to an authorized person, who
will be identified by the name tag issued by the school.
• Should there be another person other than the authorized one
who picks up your child, there must be a prior notification for the
teacher and make sure the designated person has the correct ID.
• Your child is not picked up at their classrooms. The pickup points
are determined by the school and informed to parents at the
beginning of a school year.
EARLY DISMISSAL
In case of certain conditions your child needs to go home earlier
than dismissal time, there will be an “Early Dismissal Form” filled out
and signed by the teacher and principal. Without signature from the
authorities, the school will not release any children.
LATE PICK-UP
If your child is not picked up on time by parents or guardians due
to inevitable causes, s/he must wait in the classroom. Parents are
requested to inform the school by informing the teacher about the
late pick-up.

E. HEALTH ISSUE
• Student Illness
If your child has a high or feverish temperature, do not send him/
her to school. This is a sign that s/he is contagious. It is best for
cough or running nose to rest.
• Student Illness at School
If your child becomes ill during the day, s/he will be discharged
to the care of parent. The school will isolate and send home a
student who displays any of the following:
o Diarrhea (more than one time)
o Stiff neck o Breathing
o Elevated temperature o Yellow skin or eyes
o sore throat/difficulty swallowing difficult or rapid
o conjunctivitis or pink eye unusual spots or rashes
• Accidents at School
In the event of an accident or emergency, the student will get
first aid treatment provided by the school or will be rushed to the
hospital treatment (if necessary) accompanied by the teacher or any
authorized person. Our hospital partner is Eka Hospital BSD, Premier
Bintaro and Permata Pamulang Hospital. Parents or guardians will
be notified by the teacher or the member of our office staff about
student’s status, and treatment written in an accident form.
• Absentee or Illness at Home
When your child needs to rest at home and cannot come to school,
please contact your child’s teacher or the school administration.
Your child may return to school after an illness from a cold or
other communicable disease when the symptoms are gone or
when it is no longer contagious. A written explanation or doctor’s
note is required if a child is absent from school for longer than 3
days. In cases of hospitalization or serious illness, a physician’s
statement will be required when student returns to school.
• Medications
Medications which are required to be taken during school hour
should be given to the classroom teachers. A note written by Parent
in communication book must accompany each medication, allowing
teachers to administer the medication according to the precise
dosage.

F. VALUABLE BELONGINGS
• To avoid loss of valuable belongings, we recommend that your
child does not bring any gadgets or other valuable things (gold
jewelries) to school. Toys are only allowed with prior permission
of the homeroom teacher.
• On the other hand your child is welcome to bring any toys s/he

G. BIRTHDAYS
• We will congratulate your child, sing and pray together in the
morning circle when it is your child’s birthday.
• We do not celebrate birthdays by having cakes, candles and
goodie bags at school.
• It would be wonderful if your child shares his/her happiness with
the children in needs (orphans and dhuafa).
• Your child may bring extra snack from home, please be notify
that the snack should be healthy.
• At home, please encourage your child to be able to eat
independently, in good manner, and also neatly. Remind him/
her to clean up after snack and throw any trash in the trash bin
available.
J. LIBRARY
• At the end of Library time your child can borrow 1 book from the
Library.
• Your child is also expected to treat books gently and return it a
week after he/she bring it home. Any kind of broken, lost, or late
returned books, parents are responsible to buy a new book, by
the same title or by the same price.

soda, food preservatives, artificial colors, and definitely no candy.
All your child’s belongings must be labeled with your child’s name
(including clothes, backpack, water bottle, etc). Since we are a
uniform school, many children have similar looking clothes therefore
items can be easily confused.

M. SECURITY
• Muslim Area
The atmosphere and environment in Insan Cendekia Madani
school is a Muslim area. All the people in Insan Cendekia Madani
school must wear Muslim clothes.

• Security System
Insan Cendekia Madani is guarded at all times by school security.
Throughout the day, there are security guards watching over the
building and school grounds.

• Identification Cards and Visitors’ Pass

All people who enter the building must wear ICM identification
card or get a visitors’ pass from the security guard.

• Being on the School Premises

For security reason, we request parents and guardian not to
enter any classroom or stay in the halls. Parents and guardians
may only enter the building for the following reasons:
o Payment
o Meeting with teacher and principal (upon appointment)
o School events (only for parents)

Other than the above reasons, we request parents and guardians

stay in designated places.

• Weapons and Dangerous Objects

Absolutely no weapons or objects that could be used as weapons
are allowed on the school premises.
