Answers
If you answered “yes” to any of the previous questions,
you may be experiencing some type of hearing
impairment. Over 36 million people, young and old,
suffer from some form of hearing loss. Certain types
of hearing loss are medically treatable, others are not.
Sensorineural hearing impairments are typically not
treated through medical intervention; however, benefits
can be obtained through hearing aid use. It is generally
the person with a sensorineural hearing impairment
who answers “yes” to many of the previous questions.
If you feel that you are experiencing any hearing
difficulty, please contact your family physician, an
otolaryngologist, or your audiologist for a complete
evaluation and consultation.
