Based on the availability of alumni only we can arrange these interactions.

A record should be maintained in the department regarding this interaction.

SEMINAR
In BCA, seminar comes in sixth semester.The student shall choose a modern topic of current day interest in the areas of
Computer Science / Information Technology and present a seminar using appropriate presentation media such as LCD projector.

Topic selection
Topics are collected from students through Google forms. Through Google forms students can submit 3 topics along with its
description. Then the seminar in charge will publish the list of accepted seminar topic.

The second stage is video synopsis submission. In this the student should submit a video synopsis about their topic. The video
should contain the basic idea about the topic. Video will be minimum of 2 minutes and maximum of 3 minutes. While taking
video the students should be in proper uniform with ID cards. Videos are submitted through Google Classroom.
Third stage is written synopsis submission. In this the students should submit a printed copy of detail description about their
topic to the seminar in charge. It should contain 2-3 pages.

After the correction of rough report ,they can take the faire report. And this will be submitted to the seminar in charge.

VIVA VOCE
In order to make the students to get familiar with the Viva voce process ,we are planning to conduct a mock viva voce for all the
final year students of BCA
• We will conduct the mock viva session after the announcement of the university order .
• 25 Questions from each subject will be collected from concerned faculty and will prepare a viva manual for each course
separately and the same can be given to the students.
• Course Co-ordinators will be the responsible person for preparing viva manual.
• 5-10 students can be allocated to each faculty.The students were asked to get prepared well and come with
uniform/formal wear. Faculties can suggest the corrections and can motivate them to overcome their weakness.

Remedial Classes **
After each internal examination we conduct remedial classes for each subject for minimum 3 hours. Remedial teaching time
table will be prepared by the class tutor. Those who score less than 60% marks for internals must attend remedial classes. The
concerned subject teacher will prepare the remedial class syllabus. The remedial class details must be entered in the ‘Log Book’
without fail. In this remedial class we must focus on the important portions that we have covered in the regular class during the
week. Eg. Remedial class portion after the first Internal must be the important portions of the second internal.
Those who are absent with prior permission must compensate their absence within 3 weeks. Those who are absent without
permission, will have to face action. Eg. They will be allowed to sit in the class only after their parents meet the concerned
subject teacher. They must also compensate this 3 hour within 3 weeks.
Once the portions have been covered, one week will be assigned as remedial teaching week. Remedial teaching timetable will
prepared by concerned class tutor with 3 hours allotment for each subject. Those who don’t secure 60% aggregate marks for
internal exams must attend the remedial class. Its main focus will be on the important portions of first IAE and previous
remedial revisions. Those who attend the last remedial teaching week class must appear for the improvement examination. (Not
confirmed)
