INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing the EKRUMC remote user interface.
This remote user interface will enable you to control the chiller
remotely in the same way you can control the chiller locally.

CHILLER RANGE
This specific remote user interface is designed to function with small
packaged air-cooled, water-cooled and condenserless units.

This kit must be installed together with the 10-class

address card kit option. Refer to the 10-class address
card kit manual for more details.

NOTE It is recommended to connect the shielded cable to

the address card before installing the remote user
interface.

Before starting up the unit for the first time, make sure
that it has been properly installed. It is therefore
necessary to read the installation manual supplied with
the unit and the recommendations listed in “Checks
before initial start-up” carefully.

HOW TO INSTALL THE REMOTE USER INTERFACE?

Turn the power off before installing the remote user

interface.

Setting the buzzer on or off

It is possible to silence the buzzer by setting dipswitch 3 on the

bottom plate.

2 Connect the wire to the terminal board

Refer to figure 4.

3 Attach the front to the bottom plate

Refer to figure 5.

Selecting usage of remote user interface

The following setting has to be made on the controller of the unit.
Refer to the the chapter “Entering the list of user parameters” in the
operation manual of the chiller on how to use the digital controller.
User parameter h8 in combination with the remote user interface
allows the user to use the remote user interface.
■ When user parameter h8 is set to 0 (= No), no remote user
interface is used.
■ When user parameter h8 is set to 1 (= Yes), the remote user
interface is used.
To select working with or working without the remote user interface,
proceed as follows:
1 Enter the list of user parameters.
Parameter code :d appears on the display.

2 Select parameter code h8 using the A and/or Z key.

3 Press the R key to switch to the parameter value.

4 Select the appropriate setting using the A and/or Z key.

5 Press the R key to return to the list of parameter codes.

6 To adjust or to consult other user parameters before saving the
modifications, select another user parameter using the A and/
or Z key and then repeat from instruction 3 onwards.

7 To save the modifications, press the E key. To cancel the

modifications wait approximately 40 seconds.
In the first case, the controller saves the changes, leaves the list
of user parameters and returns to normal operation, displaying
the inlet water temperature.
In the second case, the display starts flashing. Approximately
40 seconds later, the controller leaves the list of user
parameters without saving the modifications. The inlet water
temperature reappears on the display.
