History
Al Khaleejiah was established in 1990 as an affilate of the Saudi Research and Marketing Group (www.srmg.com). Headquartered
in Riyadh, Al Khaleejiah has offices in Jeddah, Dammam, London, Paris , and Dubai. Furthermore, Al Khaleejiah has established a
worldwide network of representatives.
To promote the portfolio of the Saudi Research and Publishing Company (www.srpc.com) publications , Al Khaleejiah constantly supports
and publishes details of media research and distribution obtained by bona-fide independent companies.
Representation
Today, the SRPC portfolio of publications stands at 25 titles. Al Khaleejiah is constantly and effectively monitoring markets needs.
However, Al Khaleejiah activites are not limited sales and distribution. Instead, whenever a marketing requriement is identified, a project
team is assigned to supply detailed information and to report on the various project-related aspects.
Future
The economic prosperity in the region has made it natural for regional Arabic titles published by Saudi channels to show good perfor-
mance. By remaining in close relationships with GCC markets and improving advertisers’ message in the region, SRPC and Al Khaleejiah
directly successfully took the initiative in the region.
For corporate or regional advertisers who are committed to the GCC marketplace, the availability of truly pan-Gulf titles is ideal. Saudi
Arabia, as the dominant economic power in the region, would naturally necessitate the largest media budget.
On the other hand, advertisers might wish to cover specific markets, such as in the UAE, Bahrain or Kuwait. This is where the strength
of SRPC and Al Khaleejiah becomes apparent; the client is well placed in the Saudi market whilst enjoying the extra regional coverage
offered by SRPC’s main titles.
Through building and maintaining distribution, editorial and marketing facilities outside the Kingdom, Al Khaleejiah is showing a unique
commitment towards developing and upgrading advertising industry in the region as a whole.
Gulf and Arab World Markets
The success and skills of the marketer are directly related to the business’s market share. The successful company will also be striving
to increase its market share. The Arab and Gulf markets, therefore, represent a great challenge to those who are prepared to invest, in
terms of product quality, support, services, and of course promotion. However, support services are often undersold.
Promotional investment in terms of market growth potential is insufficient when compared to the existing opportunity. To reach Western
levels of promotion, companies need to double their expenditures. We have a wealthy growing market, and more and more potential
suppliers are waiting at the doorstep. The competition will be fierce, but the rewards are worthwhile.
